BIO:

I grew up as a military brat so I’ve lived all over — Germany, Hawaii, Oklahoma, Oregon, Washington, and I went to high school in L.A., college in Iowa, and spent two years in France postgrad. In the last year I worked as a front of house manager at a concert venue and as an administrative assistant, but I’m starting graduate school and T.A.ing at Columbia this fall. I write, I love to read, and I’m a huge movie buff. I’m interested in fashion and like to dress boldly, but not always trendily. I’m a quieter person and pretty introverted but love to stay very busy and (even in Iowa) would be out most nights a week going to poetry readings, art shows, seeing local music, going to the art house movie theaters, etc.

Roommate Perk

I’m a very dedicated student and a big library fan so I will mostly be home to sleep and cook. After living in rural France through COVID, I have developed a love of French cooking and am happy to share what I make.

Ideal roommate

I have no preference about gender; I have lived with men and women and am perfectly comfortable either way. I am pretty introverted and after long days I like to enjoy my alone time; roommates must not take it personally if I don’t always have much energy to hang out frequently or always eat together, though I’ll always be polite. I keep common areas clean and neat but I don’t expect the apartment to look like a showroom 24/7, though I do expect everyone to clean up after themselves. Must be LGBTQ friendly.
