BIO:
I grew up in New Jersey but went to the University of Chicago for college. I then lived in Dallas for three years before moving back to the New York area. My work background is in the environmental education/conservation field, and I recently began a position as a Community Coordinator for NYC Parks. I plan events and programs for a park called Freshkills Park (located in a Staten Island but has its office based in Manhattan).
On the side I am a musician. I write songs and have played in several bands. Currently I do not have a band but I continue to write music and record in my free time (typically on my computer, so the roommates do not have to be worried about any noise disturbances!).
I enjoy the outdoors and explore parks frequently when I can. Nature is a big part of my life.
I do not have any pets currently. However I love animals and I am open to roommates who have pets.
I keep my living space clean and organized. I cannot fully function if things are messy.
I go to bed early most nights and am very respectful of other roommates’ needs. I would generally prefer roommates who respect quiet hours after 10:30 pm on weeknights.
I am friendly and a team player. If there are any issues in the apartment (for example, the internet is not working), I do not stay aloof and try to take a hands-on approach to solving the problem.
I am social and easygoing. We do not have to be best friends but it’s always nice to be friendly with the people you’re living with!
No gender preference. I am friendly to all genders and LGBTQ friendly.
I would very much prefer roommates who respect quiet hours after 10:30 pm on weeknights. On weekends I generally go out to concerts, events, bars, etc but there are occasional nights when I stay in. I prefer roommates who keep each other informed if they are going to have a party or get-together in the apartment.
I would prefer roommates who understand that the common areas and kitchen are a shared resource. We all have our days when we leave our dishes in the sink, but if we can keep it generally clean it always makes everyone happier 🙂
